Erik joins our studio after seven years in Chicago, where he specialized in residential, commercial, and exhibition projects. Prior to his time in Chicago, he studied Architecture at Drury University, not far from his home in St. Louis. His interest in architecture is its multivalent ability to tell the story of its own creation, its place in time and space, and the people who live or work within. Architecture is ever changing, always revealing new and unexpected joys. This keeps Erik motivated and inspired from project to project.
At Hufft, Erik contributes his broad architectural knowledge to projects with both residential and commercial aspects. He is excited to contribute to the conceptual and technical dynamism of the studio and to be back in his native state of Missouri. Outside of work, Erik enjoys building furniture, reading fiction literature, and spending time outdoors biking, hiking and camping.
