Our team was honored with two design awards at this year’s AIA Arkansas State Convention. The Meteor took home an Honor Award, and the Hobbs State Park trail structures received a Merit Award.

Located in Bentonville’s Market District, The Meteor is known as a “clubhouse for roadies.” The existing metal shed was re-purposed into a space that’s park bike shop, part café. Storefront glazing and a patio addition open the shop up to the community, welcome to anyone on or off two wheels. The Meteor adds another destination to Bentonville’s fast-growing hospitality scene, celebrating the region’s love for cycling and outdoor adventure.

Hobbs State Park offers 30+ miles of trails for adventurers at every level. These architectural shells were designed as vehicles for immersion into the land, fortifying a sense of place and identity. The multiple campsite and trailhead structures are strategically set as a series of sculptural elements throughout the park. Their parabolic shape complements the landscape, blurring the lines between an architectural element, art installation and naturally-occurring form.
