EquipmentShare Technology & Development Center _ 2025
A Union of Construction & Technology
EquipmentShare Technology & Development Center is a hybrid workplace that brings together two distinct worlds—technology and machinery—under one roof. EquipmentShare is a technology company reinventing how construction equipment is rented, tracked, and optimized on the jobsite. The building is designed for a team of software developers, engineers, and technicians, fostering collaboration between digital innovation and hands-on R&D.
The plan is organized around a simple idea: two sides—office and WorkLab—connected by a central bridge—a massive kitchen island that serves as both literal and cultural connector. Set on a repurposed commercial site, the project transforms a placeless suburban lot into the first phase of a new innovation campus.
Custom wall panels and millwork, driven by brand-derived scripts and digital fabrication tools, define a tactile environment that physically expresses the company’s mission. It’s where data meets machinery—united by design and fabrication.
The project’s details form a unified system: a kit of parts derived from brand patterns and strategically deployed to reinforce spatial and programmatic clarity. Designed and built in collaboration with The Fabrication Company, the kitchen island and surrounding millwork were developed through digital scripting, prototyping, and precise execution.
Wall panels and surfaces carry brand-inspired patterns, generated through parametric tools and CNC milled for seamless alignment. The detail isn’t ornamental—it’s organizational. Every surface reinforces the spatial logic, material clarity, and identity of the company—merging robotics with traditional craft at an architectural scale.
