The Aperture _ 2009
Framing the View
Aperture is a 18-foot wide by 11-foot tall sculpture at Curved House. It was designed to evoke a widescreen film format and give the owners the opportunity to shape the experience one has arriving to and leaving from the home. In a sense, Aperture is a part of a living art piece – the views it creates change with the weather, season and age of the steel, and as viewers drive by the sculpture, the scenery in the frame moves with the viewer in the opposite direction.
