It’s difficult to imagine a better location than the Razorback Regional Greenway for an Arkansas-based bicycle manufacturer to establish its headquarters. Which is exactly where HIA Velo, parent company of ALLIED Cycle Works, relocated their HQ to earlier this year.

ALLIED’s brand mantra is “MADE HERE,” emphasizing the founding team’s formative goal to make the best possible product themselves, right here in the U.S. Beyond providing a superior product and service, they sought to make a positive impact in their communities while embracing the American manufacturing spirit of innovation.

Located a short walk from the Razorback trail, the new HIA Velo/ALLIED headquarters is all about bringing people together. An existing metal building was adapted to house a relaxed workspace for the HIA Velo team, showroom space for ALLIED bikes and The Meteor, a hospitality concept founded with the mission to combine “truly great coffee and bikes.” Exterior improvements were largely cosmetic, and a custom metal screen that extends across most of the front façade was added. The screen unites two separate spaces – ALLIED Cycle Works, and The Meteor – and provides a touch of privacy for employees and visitors.

Designed with cycling and coffee lovers in mind, we wanted to create a space that is honest and raw.  Simple and uncomplicated, minimal merchandising in the showroom space keeps the bikes front and center. An open work area for HIA Velo and ALLIED employees provides ample space for the team to collaborate on various tasks, from business and operational management, to product development, merchandising and display.
