Working Together, Apart

There is a lot of uncertainty, speculation and fear, but one thing we know: distance helps keep us safe.

In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have temporarily closed the Hufft offices, and have asked all of our design and administrative team members to work remotely. This decision was a heavy one to make, but nothing is more important to us than the health and safety of our employees, families and friends. We are taking this new normal one day at a time, and will wait to re-open until we know it is smart and safe to do so, however long it takes.

Flexibility has always been important to us. We are proud of the fact that every employee has the needed resources to do their best work, wherever they are, without missing a beat. What does this mean for our clients, consultants and colleagues?

  • All project meetings will be held virtually via Zoom. If this is a new-to-you tool, our team members will help guide you through how to use the platform.
  • We have paused all business travel, and are evaluating all planned site visits on a case-by-case basis.

For now, our fabrication shop is still in operation. We continue to evaluate the situation daily, and have given each team member the option to isolate. We are very fortunate to have a clean and spacious shop where our fabricators can maintain more than a 6-foot distance from each other.

In a time of isolation, our team feels quite the opposite: we are in this together. While the surroundings we are all working in have changed, the way we work – and work together – has not.
